For years, we lived a life that felt too loud, too crowded, and too far removed from the earth. The dream was simple but daunting: to find a place where the horizon wasn't blocked by skyscrapers and the pace of life was dictated by the seasons, not the commute.
We eventually found our "blank canvas" in the South - 12 acres of neglected hayfields, unruly beaver dams, and a creek that didn't yet know its boundaries. To many, it was a mess.
To us, it was freedom.
The transition wasn't easy. We traded city convenience for torrential rains, droughts, and the steep learning curve of rural life. But in the middle of that struggle, we found our purpose. It started with two horses and a realization: in nature, nothing is wasted. What began as a solution for manure became a passion for composting—the art of turning "waste" into the very foundation of life.
The Road Less Traveled is more than our name; it’s our philosophy. It’s the belief that the hardest paths often lead to the most beautiful destinations. Today, when we sit on our pier watching the sunset over the pond, we don’t just see a farm. We see a testament to being bold, being fearless, and nurturing the land that nurtures us.
